What We Do

Engage leaders within our communities to share how they can make an impact through books and early literacy programs! Together we can make tomorrow brighter for students who may not otherwise have access to books of their very own!

Who We Serve

For the 2023 - 2024 school year, we are partnered with

8 Hawaii Schools:

Books 4 Keiki's Goals

  • Establish an endowment fund to future book purchases in perpetuity for existing school partners.

  • Continue to provide age appropriate books to children to our partner Elementary School’s Pre-K program to build their at-home library.

  • Kick off the school year with a set of books.

  • Provide parent / child activity guide to use while reading together.

  • Grow relationships with community partners for continued sustainability of the program.

  • Explore expanding partner schools.

  • Follow up periodically with additional books throughout the year to keep the students engaged.

Future Goals!

  • Host an in person event with local authors to do book readings to build excitement and engagement with students and parents.

  • Explore continuing book donations with exiting Pre-K children as they age into upper grades.

  • Inspire our keiki to develop a love and appreciation for books and reading
