“There is a significant amount of research that suggests a very strong relationship between the amount of books available in the home and the future academic success of a child. I want to do all I can to support access to books in our community!”

 

Michael, born and raised in Hawaii, is a graduate of Iolani School. After moving away for college, Michael worked for a small, social service non profit organization before moving back home in 2011. Michael has worked in the Hawaii health insurance industry for the last 10 years.

Growing up, Michael loved to read. Now as a parent, he finds joy in sharing his love of reading with his children. Michael and his wife Stephanie have 2 children, Lillian, and Jacob.
